There are numerous videos on the web on how to set up your humidor but this one is pretty good. Remember that if you are just starting out, do the basics the right way and you will eliminate problems down the road.
Some key basics include:
- Purchase a good humidor with good workmanship and a good fit. You will be spending good money on your cigars so give them a good home!
- Always use distilled water! Don’t think you can save a few cents by using tap water as you will end up with mold on your cigars
- As you go along, feel free to have more or less humidity in your humidor to fit your individual taste. Europeans like a drier cigar, Americans like a cigar with more moisture (62-72%) but find out what you prefer
